Call for Entries — 2009 USGBC Heartland Region Awards

Deadline: Friday, May 22, 2009 by 6:00 pm ET
ABOUT THE AWARDS
Every year, the U.S. Green Building Council Heartland Region recognizes outstanding chapter achievements within the region through its chapter awards program. By recognizing excellence among our chapters, we not only celebrate our great accomplishments but also share best practices throughout USGBC’s entire chapter network. Winning groups will receive recognition at Greening the Heartland 2009, and the top entrant in each category will receive one complimentary full registration and one complimentary student registration to Greenbuild Phoenix.
Who May Enter:
All organizing groups and provisional and full chapters in the Heartland Region are eligible to compete for awards in the following categories:
- Organizational Excellence
- USGBC in the Community
See the descriptions below for criteria. Groups may submit entries for more than one category. Two awards may be given in each category, one for small groups and one for large, as determined by chapter budget and membership.
The jury shall have the sole authority to determine which and how many awards are justified in each category. No minimum or maximum number of awards has been established. Projects shall be considered on their own merits regardless of size, scope or cost. The jury’s decisions shall be final and not subject to review.
